The Business Design Centre, London, 16th November 2017
The Cyber Security Summit is the UK’s leading one-day conference for those at the forefront of securing technology, data and networks across government, CNI, public sector and enterprise.
In alignment with the National Cyber Security Strategy, the theme for this year’s summit is taking a joined-up national response to secure technology, data and networks.
PA Consulting Group and 7Safe will be exhibiting at stand number C28 to engage and share insights with visitors around how best to achieve cyber readiness and respond to incidents. In addition, our cyber security experts will be delivering short talks based on the themes of (1) What operators of essential services (OES) will need to do to comply with the new Directive on security of network and information systems (EU NIS Directive 2016/1148), and (2) Two ways to improve cyber readiness in preparation for NIS: Cyber War Gaming and Cyber Threat Hunting (11.20-12.05, Seminar Theatre 1).
Cyber security expert, Justin Lowe from PA Consulting, and 7Safe’s Ian Howard, an experienced cyber threat hunter and digital forensics consultant, will talk you through the requirements of the NIS Directive and the large fines that could result from failure to comply. They will suggest practical next steps such as war gaming scenarios to test your capabilities, and cyber threat hunting as a proactive approach to searching for cyber threats and responding to intrusions in a timely manner. Justin and Ian will outline the key steps needed to plan and conduct cyber war gaming and threat hunting operations throughout the enterprise to reduce the risk of attacks on IT and OT systems.
