De Vere Holborn Bars, London
6th December 2017, 6.30 - 9.00 pm
Cloud offers enormous business benefits alongside cyber risks that law firms must be aware of.
Corporate clients are increasingly demanding that legal practices provide evidence of their ongoing security and monitoring to protect sensitive client data. At the same time, the migration to flexible, cost-effective cloud services in place of onsite IT provision has added a new ‘virtual’ dimension to the data security problem. As the Law Society Practice Note (7 April 2014) says: “Cloud computing has a number of advantages, but it also carries risks which your firm should navigate carefully”.
On 6th December, 7Safe will bring together law firms, litigation support managers and legal representatives at our Relativity hosted networking event in London to discuss the risks and benefits of cloud-based technology. This event will take place at De Vere Holborn Bars, 138-142 Holborn, London EC1N 2NQ from 6.30 pm to around 9.00 pm. Drinks and canapés will be served.
Cyber expert, James Mucklow of PA Consulting, will be delivering a presentation titled Data Protection, are you safe if you are not in the cloud? He will invite the audience to look at the benefits of cloud deployment alongside the need for secure architectures and security controls.
Relativity’s Gabriele Balciunaite will then give an overview of RelativityOne – the new cloud-based platform to help lawyers review and analyse large volumes of data around litigation, investigations and government requests. RelativityOne is a modern SaaS product that brings not just security, but scalability, flexibility, and ease of use to e-discovery work — from legal hold through to production.
