At the time of writing, there are only a few days to go until Infosecurity Europe 2016, London, Europe’s number one information security event that attracts over 315 exhibitors and over 12,000 visitors, PA Consulting Group and 7Safe, PA’s technical security and education business, will be showcasing their Digital Trust cyber consulting, cyber training and technical security services

Together, 7Safe and PA offer a market-leading, end-to-end range of cyber security capabilities that draw on extensive experience working in some of the most challenging environments, including defence and security, financial services, critical infrastructure and energy and utilities.

Our Digital Trust, cyber security and education experts will share their insights and experience in protecting organisations – including assessing your digital risks, protecting your digital assets, enabling incident response and developing your cyber capability.

PA Digital Trust expert John Skipper will be presenting a Strategy Talk on “Fostering an Enterprise-Wide Security Culture” as part of the main conference. In addition, PA and 7Safe industry experts will be running a series of bitesize presentations on key topics including the Security for Industrial Controls Systems Framework recently launched by the CPNi and CESG (12pm on 7 and 8 June and 2pm on 9 June) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (4pm on 7 and 8 June).

As part of the exhibition, attendees are able to pre book a one-to-one session in advance, enabling them to get to talk to the relevant consultant, training specialist, cyber expert for the advice they need – saving having to wait around on the day.

STOMP Contest – Back by Popular Demand!

Our STOMP* Challenge (*Stop the Offensive Malware Process) will be available for participants to take part in and test their cyber forensic capabilities.

STOMP is designed to test the ability of a cyber specialist in dealing with a ransomware attack.

Designed and created by our cyber forensic and malware expert Steve Shepherd MBE, STOMP has been developed to test the forensic capabilities of participant’s and to highlight basic cyber training shortfalls. The STOMP Challenge involves a version of the infamous CryptoLocker ransomware and participants are challenged to find, stop and remove the malware in 6 minutes. This was designed to demonstrate some of the difficulties that can be encountered when investigating malware infections and anyone to complete the challenge will win a 7Safe accredited training course worth over £2000. As yet, no one has completed the challenge!

With many high-profile hacking incidences hitting the headlines over recent months, the question is ‘How vulnerable are you to hackers?’

Not to be missed, our very own technical expert, Steven van der Baan, will be at the exhibition demonstrating to you the threat of security vulnerabilities and the ever increasing need for protecting valuable assets as well as showcasing our penetration testing capabilities.
